5. Massage Services

Pregnancy and postpartum massage is provided by a trained practitioner. You agree to inform your practitioner of any medical conditions, complications, or concerns before your session. If massage is not recommended by your healthcare provider, this must be disclosed prior to booking.

Massage Safety

To ensure your massage is safe, nurturing, and appropriate for your stage of pregnancy or postpartum recovery, the following guidelines apply:

Health Information

You agree to provide accurate, up‑to‑date health and pregnancy information before each session so your practitioner can tailor treatment safely.

When Massage May Be Postponed

Your practitioner may pause or reschedule a session if you are experiencing:

  • Fever, illness, or infection

  • Unexplained pain

  • Recent injury or unhealed wounds (postnatal)

Pregnancy‑specific reasons to postpone include:

  • Reduced fetal movements

  • Vaginal bleeding or fluid loss

  • Sudden swelling, severe headaches, or visual changes

  • Signs of pre‑eclampsia

  • Unexplained cramping

If any of these symptoms arise, you may be encouraged to seek medical review before continuing with massage.

Safe Techniques & Positioning

Pregnancy and postpartum massage uses gentle, supportive techniques such as side‑lying positioning and the use of bolsters for comfort. Deep abdominal work and contraindicated pressure points are avoided.

Allergies & Sensitivities

Please inform your practitioner of any allergies or sensitivities to oils or products so suitable alternatives can be provided.

Duty of Care

Your practitioner may modify or decline treatment if it is considered unsafe or not in your best interest.
