These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of this website and to bookings for services provided by Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. By using this website or booking a service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Please read them carefully before making a booking.
1. About Coastal Birth & Nourish Co.
Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. provides:

Private 1:1 Hypnobirthing programs

Group Hypnobirthing programs

Pregnancy massage services
Our services are designed to provide education, preparation, relaxation and supportive care during pregnancy and birth preparation.
Hypnobirthing is an educational birth preparation program and does not replace medical care, diagnosis, treatment or advice from your midwife, obstetrician, GP or other qualified healthcare professional.
Pregnancy massage is a complementary service and is not a substitute for medical care.
2. Bookings
Bookings can be made through the Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. website, booking system or by contacting us directly.
By making a booking, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
For Hypnobirthing programs, clients are responsible for ensuring they are available for all scheduled sessions.
For group programs, places are limited and are secured once the required deposit has been received.
For private programs, session dates are arranged with the client and are subject to availability.
3. Payment
Payment requirements will be clearly displayed at the time of booking.
Hypnobirthing
A deposit is required to secure your place.
The remaining balance is invoiced separately and is due 24 hours before the first scheduled session, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Current payment arrangements include:
Private 1:1 Hypnobirthing — $800

$200 deposit

$600 remaining balance
Group Hypnobirthing — $550 per couple

$150 deposit

$400 remaining balance
Ultimate Pregnancy Preparation Package — $1,000

$250 deposit
-
$750 remaining balance
The applicable amount for your booking will be confirmed at the time of purchase.
If the remaining balance has not been paid by the due date, Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. may contact you to arrange payment and may need to reschedule your session until payment has been received.
Pregnancy Massage
Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
4. Deposits
Deposits for Hypnobirthing are paid to secure your booking, course place and, where applicable, agreed session dates.
Deposits are non-refundable where you cancel or change your mind, subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where possible, Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. may offer a transfer of your deposit to an alternative available date. Any rescheduling is subject to availability.
A deposit cannot be transferred to another person without prior agreement.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances can change. Please contact Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Hypnobirthing
If you cancel your booking or change your mind, your deposit will generally not be refunded.
Where possible, we may offer one opportunity to transfer your booking to another available date.
For group courses, transfers are subject to availability and the new course date must be agreed with Coastal Birth & Nourish Co.
If a program has already commenced, fees for sessions or resources already provided may not be refundable.
Pregnancy Massage
Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a massage appointment.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice or missed without notice may be charged in full.
Where appropriate, Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. may waive or reduce a cancellation fee at its discretion in genuine or unexpected circumstances.
If you are unwell or experiencing symptoms that make massage unsuitable, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
6. If Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. Cancels or Reschedules
If we need to cancel or reschedule your booking, we will make reasonable efforts to offer you an alternative date.
If an alternative date cannot be arranged, any amount you have paid for the affected service will be refunded where required by law.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this policy.
7. Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage is provided as a complementary wellbeing service using pregnancy-appropriate positioning and techniques.
Before your appointment, you must provide accurate and up-to-date information about your pregnancy and relevant health circumstances.
You should inform your practitioner of any:

Pregnancy complications

Medical conditions
-
Recent injuries
-
Allergies or sensitivities
-
Medications or treatments that may be relevant to your massage

Changes in your health or pregnancy since your previous appointment
If you have concerns about whether massage is appropriate for you, you should seek advice from your healthcare provider before booking.
8. When Massage May Be Postponed or Declined
For your safety, your practitioner may postpone, modify or decline a massage where they reasonably believe treatment may not be appropriate.
This may include situations involving:

Fever, illness or infection

Unexplained or significant pain

Recent injury
-
Unhealed wounds
-
Vaginal bleeding or fluid loss
-
Reduced fetal movements
-
Sudden or significant swelling
-
Severe headache or visual changes
-
Symptoms that may indicate pre-eclampsia or another pregnancy complication
-
Unexplained cramping or other symptoms requiring medical assessment
Where appropriate, you may be advised to seek medical assessment before treatment continues.
The decision to proceed with massage remains subject to your practitioner's professional assessment and your informed consent.
9. Massage Positioning & Techniques
Pregnancy massage is adapted to your stage of pregnancy and individual comfort.
Treatment may include supportive side-lying positioning, bolsters and pregnancy-appropriate massage techniques.
Techniques may be modified or avoided where they are considered unsuitable for your circumstances.
You may ask for a technique to be stopped or modified at any time.
10. Client Responsibilities
By booking a service, you agree to:

Provide accurate and current information relevant to your booking

Inform Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. of any relevant changes to your health or pregnancy

Follow reasonable safety instructions provided during your appointment

Seek medical advice when appropriate

Attend appointments and Hypnobirthing sessions at the agreed times

Treat Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. staff, practitioners and other participants respectfully
11. Hypnobirthing & Birth Education
Hypnobirthing sessions provide education, preparation and practical techniques relating to pregnancy, labour and birth.
Information provided during sessions is intended to support informed decision-making but does not constitute medical advice.
Your individual birth circumstances may change, and decisions about medical care should be discussed with your treating healthcare professionals.
Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. does not guarantee any particular birth outcome, labour experience or medical result.
12. Birth Partner Participation
Where a Hypnobirthing program includes a birth partner, the program fee covers one birthing mother and one birth partner unless otherwise agreed.
Birth partners are encouraged to participate actively in the sessions and practise the techniques provided.
13. Resources & Course Materials
Hypnobirthing Australia™ workbooks and other course resources supplied as part of the program are for the personal use of the registered client and their birth partner.
Course materials, recordings, written resources, worksheets and other content provided by Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. must not be copied, reproduced, published, distributed or commercially used without permission, except where permitted by law.
14. Website Content & Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, photographs, graphics, branding, logos, resources and original materials, is owned by or licensed to Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. unless otherwise stated.
You must not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute or commercially use our content without prior written permission.
15. Website Information
We aim to ensure that information on this website is accurate and current. However, information may change and we do not guarantee that every piece of website content will always be complete, accurate or up to date.
Website information is provided for general information and educational purposes only.
16. Consumer Guarantees
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
Where a service does not meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy such as a refund, re-supply or compensation depending on the circumstances.
These rights cannot be excluded by a business policy or contract term.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. is not responsible for circumstances outside our reasonable control or for decisions made by a client based on general educational information provided through our website or services.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
18. Privacy
Personal information provided to Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information collected through registration forms, booking forms and client forms may be used to provide and administer your services, communicate with you about your booking and meet our legal and business obligations.

19. Complaints & Concerns
If you have a concern about a service, please contact Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. as soon as possible so we can discuss the matter and work towards a reasonable resolution.

We aim to respond to complaints promptly, respectfully and fairly.
20. Changes to These Terms
Coastal Birth & Nourish Co. may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The updated version will be published on this page with the revised date.
Changes will not remove or limit rights that apply to existing bookings under the Australian Consumer Law.
